A fork is all you need

Spring is finally here? Or is it... (brrrr)

Everyone is gearing themselves up for summer mode-daydreaming about their beach vacations and warmer weather. When you take a trip, you pack your suitcase full of "must have" items and prepare yourself for relaxation, adventure and the enjoyment of great company (or some variation of this). Well tonight, after a long day at a continuing education course, i enjoyed the perfect"stay-cation" just footsteps from my apartment. And all i needed was a fork!

Rahway might not be a tropical vacation destination, but it certainly has a lot to offer. The town of Rahway is ALWAYS happening-and tonight was no exception! Thanks to #RahwayIsHappening I was able to win tickets to the sold out event"Rahway Taste of Spring". The event was located at the Rahway Recreation Center and featured over 40 local food/drink establishments. The place was PACKED and scrumptious snacks lurked around every corner. This event had everything-live music, endless tables of goodies and even free sombreros.

Relaxation, check. Adventure, check. Great company, check. I had a blast exploring this event! I finally got a chance to try food from some of the local restaurants that are on my restaurant bucket list...

And even better, I got to enjoy some bites from my town favorites...

This "stay-cation" left me without a tan--but, i did leave with a full heart and a full belly. The good news is you don't have to wait a whole year to get your hands on some of New Jersey's finest grub. What are you waiting for? Come taste Rahway!
